Compare a tenant's lease edits with the landlord's commercial form
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Put each tenant edit in a row beside the form clause it changes. Columns are clause number, form text, tenant text, and whether the edit adds, deletes, or replaces words. Do not say whether the edit should be accepted.
- What the lawyer must review
- Texas Property Code Chapter 93 is the commercial-tenancy statute used here. Section 93.012 forbids a charge, other than rent or physical damage, unless the amount or the method is in the lease, an exhibit, or an amendment. California Civil Code § 1624(a)(3) makes a lease of real property for longer than one year invalid unless it, or a memorandum, is in writing and subscribed by the party to be charged. You decide which edits to accept. Chapter 93 does not govern a dwelling.
