Check procedural citations against the court's rules

- How AI is used
- List each procedural citation in the draft, including the rule number and the proposition the draft attaches to it. Do not mark the citation as accurate and do not supply a rule the draft does not cite.
- What the lawyer must review
- A procedural citation in a paper presented to a federal court is part of the certification in Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11(b)(2): the legal contentions must be warranted by existing law or by a nonfrivolous argument for changing it, after an inquiry reasonable under the circumstances. The text of the Federal Rules on a secondary site is not a substitute for the rules of the court in which the paper will be filed. Local rules and the assigned judge's standing orders can add or vary a procedure. ABA Formal Opinion 512 (29 July 2024) leaves the lawyer responsible for checking the tool's output. The lawyer opens those rules. The list does not.
