Build the class-notice distribution record
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Record, for each notice the lawyer identifies, who is to receive it, the send date the lawyer records, and the address source. Write no notice.
- What the lawyer must review
- Rule 23(c)(2) is the notice that follows certification, and Rule 23(d) allows the court to require notice while the action is conducted. You decide the method, and you write the notice so that it meets the part of the rule that applies. The distribution record is not the notice. Check it against the mailing list before it is treated as complete. Model Rule 1.6: do not put class-member addresses into a public tool.

Checklist
- Confirm the output against the client’s instructions and the complete relevant source material, including omissions or contradictions.
- Resolve exceptions and record the responsible lawyer’s approval of the exact output and intended use.
