How AI is used
For each legal or factual citation in the draft, list the source in the file that matches it, or mark that no source is in the file. Do not add a citation.
What the lawyer must review
Formal Opinion 512: a generative tool can hallucinate a plausible citation. The lawyer makes the inquiry before the submission is served. If the same text is later filed in a district court, Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11(b) is the lawyer’s certification. Inside the arbitration, 9 U.S.C. § 2 enforces the written agreement and does not check citations. Model Rule 1.1 requires the lawyer to bring the knowledge reasonably necessary for the representation.
