How AI is used
For each factual sentence in the draft, list the document and page in the file that supports it, or mark that no document does. Write no sentence of the witness statement and no opinion of the expert.
What the lawyer must review
The lawyer writes any witness statement. The tool writes none of it, and it writes no outline of testimony. Federal Rule of Evidence 702: a witness qualified as an expert by knowledge, skill, experience, training, or education may testify in the form of an opinion if the proponent demonstrates it is more likely than not that the expert’s specialized knowledge will help the trier of fact, and the other conditions of the rule are met. The tool does not write those opinions. Formal Opinion 512 and Rule 1.6: drafts stay in a confidential tool, and the lawyer checks every match before the draft is settled.
