| Assistance | Supporting preparation only. List the decisions the system makes or substantially informs, and set out the unanswered APP 1.7 questions and the guardrail 5 question of meaningful human oversight. Do not answer those questions and do not write the advice. The tool writes nothing into the document. Substantive advice, judgement and any restricted content remain with the responsible human. |
| Lawyer | Perform the substantive analysis and decisions. Independently check any permitted supporting work and approve the exact output for its intended use. |
Checklist
- Confirm the advice is in the lawyer's words and that no generated sentence has been pasted into it.
- Confirm each decision is tested against APP 1.7 where personal information is used, separately from the voluntary guardrail.
- Record the decisions that must not proceed on the system output alone.
