When to use it
Use when an airport-lessee company has published a notice that a preliminary version of a draft master plan is available for comment. Comments go to the company, not to the Minister, and they must be inside the period in the notice. Check the notice for the date.
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may turn the client's marked-up issues into a first draft under the headings below. The lawyer checks that each comment is about the preliminary version, is sent to the company, and is within the 60 business day period.
AI may
- Calculate the last day from the publication date on the notice, counting business days, and show the count
- Group the client's comments under noise, traffic, land use and any other heading the client has marked
- Name the maps or pages in the preliminary version that each comment refers to
AI must not
- Must not send the letter to the Minister as if that were the public comment
- Must not add technical claims, decibel figures or traffic numbers that are not in a report the client has
- Must not say the company must change the plan
The lawyer checks
- The notice, the publication date and the address for comments are on the file
- The letter is within 60 business days after publication of the notice, which is the period section 79(1) states
- The comments are about the preliminary version, and the letter asks to be listed and summarised with the comments the company must give the Minister
- State and council roles under section 79(1A) are not confused with this public comment
