- Fill a fixed index: document name, date printed on it, names signed on it, and page. Add no conclusion about validity or about which document is the will.
- What the lawyer must review
- The columns are fixed at setup so the probate file can be read in one pass. You decide which document is offered for probate and whether it meets Probate Code § 6110. Section 8800 then requires an inventory of the property to be administered. Opinion 512 requires you to check the index against the pages before you rely on it. The index locates paper. It does not admit the will.
