Record the state and the contract price for a transfer tax
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Record the state named for the land and the price the contract states. Do not compute a transfer tax and do not apply a scale from another country.
- What the lawyer must review
- You compute any tax, after you open the statute of the state where the land is. No state transfer-tax rate was opened. Section 1445(a) requires the transferee, except as that section otherwise provides, to deduct and withhold a tax equal to 15 percent of the amount realized on a disposition of a United States real property interest by a foreign person. That is federal withholding on a disposition by a foreign person. It is a different tax from a state transfer tax on a purchase, and it is not a duty scale of New South Wales or of any other place. The IRS page names Forms 8288 and 8288-A. You open the current form. The tool stops at the state and the price.
