List sunset, registration and variation clauses in the contract
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Quote each clause on a sunset date, on registration of a plan, and on a change to the plan or the price. If the contract has no such clause, say so. Do not say the clause is enforceable.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide the risk. No statute of off-the-plan sales or of interstate land sales was opened, so the list does not state a cancellation right beyond the words of the contract. Model Rule 1.4(b) requires an explanation sufficient for the client to decide. Comment 8 to Rule 1.1 and Formal Opinion 512 govern the use of a tool on the contract. A date that is not in the clause is not added.
