Write a plain-language summary of a home purchase contract
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Restate, in short sentences, only the price, the dates, the contingencies, and the other clauses the lawyer marks. List any marked clause you cannot restate from the text. Do not add a term.
- What the lawyer must review
- Model Rule 1.4(b) requires you to explain the matter to the extent reasonably necessary for the client to decide. The summary is not the contract. You check that it does not drop a price, a date, or a contingency, and that it does not state a tax credit or a loan term that is not in the papers. Formal Opinion 512 applies when the contract is put into a tool. Comment 8 to Rule 1.1 is the competence rule for that use.
