Turn permit conditions into a compliance register
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Copy each condition from the issued permit into a row with its number, the obligation, and any date or plan the permit itself names. Add no condition that is not in the permit.
- What the lawyer must review
- Local use regulation sits under an ordinance adopted under a statute such as California Government Code section 65850. A federal dredge-or-fill permit, where there is one, is issued under 33 USC section 1344 by the Secretary of the Army through the Chief of Engineers. The register records the conditions of the permit that was actually issued. It does not rewrite them. Opinion 512: if you use a tool to split a long permit into rows, check a sample of rows against the permit before you rely on the set.
