Check whether an injury on a journey to or from work is covered
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- From the start and end of the trip, any stop, and why the worker was travelling, using a firm-controlled tool, table the journey test the opened pages state. Do not decide that the journey is covered.
- What the lawyer must review
- Decide whether this trip meets that state's journey test.
- Do not treat a trip between home and work the same way in each scheme.
- A motor-accident claim is a different task. Do not fold it into this check.
- Health and wage records stay in a firm-controlled tool. Apply ASCR r 9, APP 11, and the notifiable-breach test.

Checklist
- Record the start, the destination, every stop, and whether the worker had left home.
- In Victoria, separate required travel for work from travel to and from the workplace.
- In New South Wales, look for a connection between the employment and the accident, not only for the fact of the commute, and only for a journey on or after 19 June 2012.
- Do not apply the New South Wales guide to an exempt worker. That page was not opened.

Queensland's two official pages use different words for delays and deviations. Both are recorded. Neither states a section number.
Section 10 was read on AustLII. Confirm it on the official legislation site. The guide's case notes are the guide's account of those decisions.
If health or wage records leave the firm-controlled tool, decide whether a Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) breach is notifiable.
