- What the lawyer must review
- You decide what is said to the client and to the court. Model Rule 1.1 requires the legal knowledge, skill, thoroughness and preparation reasonably necessary for the representation. Comment 8 includes the benefits and risks of relevant technology. Model Rule 1.6 prohibits revealing information relating to the representation without a ground in that rule. Model Rule 1.2(a) requires you to abide by the client's decisions on the objectives and, in a criminal case, by the client's decision, after consultation, on a plea, a jury waiver, and whether the client will testify. Under 45 CFR § 1620.2(a), representation of a specific client, including advice and brief services, is a case. No public-defender statute was opened. ABA Formal Opinion 512 requires you to verify a generated extract before you rely on it. The fact sheet is not a paper you file.
