- How AI is used
- Copy the program's own closing fields and put beside each field the fact in the file that would fill it, or a blank if the file has no fact. Invent no outcome code.
- What the lawyer must review
- You complete the closing record. Under 45 CFR § 1620.2(a), a case is a program service in which an attorney or paralegal provides legal services to one or more specific clients, including representation in litigation, administrative proceedings and negotiations, and including advice, brief services, transactional assistance, and assistance with individual Private Attorney Involvement cases. A matter, under § 1620.2(b), does not involve direct legal advice to or representation of a specific client. Examples of matters include community education, written materials about legal rights, and intake when no case is undertaken. The closing record uses the program's own fields. Legal Services Corporation case-service reporting codes were not opened. Do not add a code that is not in the program's list. Model Rule 1.6 applies to what leaves the file.
