- What the lawyer must review
- 45 C.F.R. § 1614.2 requires a recipient of a Basic Field-General award to devote an amount equal to at least 12.5 percent of that award to the involvement of private attorneys, law students, law graduates, or other professionals. Basic Field-Native American grants, Basic Field-Migrant grants, and non-Basic Field grants are not subject to that percentage. Direct delivery may be through organized pro bono, reduced-fee plans, judicare panels, or private-attorney contracts. 42 U.S.C. § 2996f(a)(10) requires attorneys engaged in Corporation-supported work to refrain from personal representation for a private fee in a case they were involved in while doing that work.
