Extract dates and obligations from a signed contract into a tracker
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- List each dated obligation, the clause number and the party who must perform, using only the signed contract. Leave a row blank rather than guess a date.
- What the lawyer must review
- The lawyer checks every date and obligation against the signed contract before the business relies on the tracker. Formal Opinion 512 allows the depth of review to depend on testing of the tool, and still requires competence under Rule 1.1. A missed renewal or notice date is the lawyer's to catch. Do not load the signed contract into a public tool (Rule 1.6).
