Prepare the response to a medical-board investigation
Key facts

- How AI is used
- Index the board's letter, the dates, and the records the investigator has requested. Write no sentence of the physician's response.
- What the lawyer must review
- You write the response. The Medical Board of California says an investigation can include obtaining records and interviewing the physician, that the complaint is discussed with the physician, and that investigation details are confidential and are not a public record. The Board's mission statement on that page is licensing and enforcement under the Medical Practice Act. Other states' boards have different statutes and different confidentiality rules. Model Rule 3.3 applies if a statement is later made to a tribunal. Formal Opinion 512: you do not file a generated account of the care.
