Quote any clause on an attorney who did not know the power had ended
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Quote any clause about an attorney who acts without knowing the power has ended. If the instrument has none, say so. Do not say the act was effective.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide the consequence. No statute protecting an attorney who lacked knowledge was opened. Do not create that protection from a model act. The quote is the instrument's words only. What the attorney knew is recorded only from a document in the file. Model Rule 1.4(b) applies before you advise the attorney. Model Rule 3.3(a)(1) applies if you later tell a court the act was valid. Formal Opinion 512 requires you to verify the quote.
