List whether the record says the student enrolled, the course load if printed, any drop-below or failure to enroll, and the registration deadline if printed. Write no notice to the student.
What the lawyer must review
8 C.F.R. § 214.3(g)(2)(ii)(A) requires a school to report within 21 days any student who has failed to maintain status or to complete the program. Section 214.3(g)(2)(iii) requires, each term and no later than 30 days after the deadline for registering for classes, a report of whether the student has enrolled, dropped below a full course of study without prior authorization by the designated school official, or failed to enroll. Factors that influence progress, including deferred attendance, an authorized drop below, or a program extension, must be reflected by updating the program completion date. The opened rule does not require a notice to the student before the report. The designated school official decides whether a report is due and makes it.
