How AI is used
From the notices, emails and incident reports the lawyer designates, list the date of the alleged conduct, the date and form of notice of the charges, the date of any chance to respond, and the date and length of the removal.
What the lawyer must review
Goss v. Lopez holds that a public-school student facing a suspension of 10 days or less must be given oral or written notice of the charges and, if the student denies them, an explanation of the evidence and an opportunity to present the student’s version. Notice and hearing should generally precede removal, but if the student’s presence endangers persons or property or threatens disruption, the notice and hearing should follow as soon as practicable. The timeline does not decide whether that happened. Education records used to build it are subject to 20 U.S.C. § 1232g. Do not put them in a public tool (Rule 1.6).
