Prepare a hearing chronology from the key documents

How AI is used
Build a dated chronology from the documents the lawyer supplies, with the document and page for each row. Do not add a fact that is not in those documents and do not describe a disputed event as proved.
What the lawyer must review
The chronology is a working paper for the lawyer. It is not a pleading. A pleading that states a claim for relief must, under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 8(a), contain a short and plain statement of the grounds for the court's jurisdiction unless the court already has jurisdiction and the claim needs no new jurisdictional support, a short and plain statement of the claim showing that the pleader is entitled to relief, and a demand for the relief sought. If a document from the chronology is later offered at a federal trial other than solely for impeachment, its identification belongs in the pretrial disclosures required by Rule 26(a)(3). The lawyer checks every date against the source page. ABA Formal Opinion 512 (29 July 2024) leaves the lawyer responsible for work produced with a generative tool.
