Build a dated list of the facts and the documents the lawyer marks as the proof. Write no paragraph of any paper that will be filed.
What the lawyer must review
You write and you sign any affidavit or other paper that is filed. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11: by presenting a paper to the court, whether by signing, filing, submitting or later advocating it, you certify after a reasonable inquiry that it is not presented for an improper purpose, that the legal contentions are warranted by existing law or by a nonfrivolous argument, and that the factual contentions have evidentiary support or are specifically identified as likely to have it after investigation. The list is not that paper. You read paragraph (4) of Rule 11 on denials before you rely on the rest of the rule.
