How AI is used
For each sentence in a draft minute, cite the place in the meeting record that supports it, and mark a sentence with no support. Write no minute, no resolution, and no note of legal advice.
What the lawyer must review
You write the minutes. Model Rule 1.6(a) provides that a lawyer shall not reveal information relating to the representation of a client unless the client gives informed consent, the disclosure is impliedly authorized in order to carry out the representation, or the disclosure is permitted by paragraph (b). Paragraph (b) was not applied in this version. Rule 1.6(c) requires reasonable efforts to prevent the inadvertent or unauthorized disclosure of, or unauthorized access to, information relating to the representation. ABA Formal Opinion 512 states that a lawyer needs the client's informed consent before inputting information relating to the representation into a tool that will not keep it confidential, and that a lawyer must independently verify generated output. Putting a recording or a draft minute into a tool that retains it is a Rule 1.6 question for you, before the index is run. No attorney-client privilege rule was opened, so this version does not say which sentences are privileged.
