Check a processor supply contract for a signed quantity
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Copy the goods named, any quantity printed, any price printed, and whether a writing signed by the party to be charged is in the file. Do not say the contract is enforceable.
- What the lawyer must review
- UCC § 2-201, as opened on Cornell, is the uniform text: a contract for the sale of goods for the price of $500 or more is not enforceable unless there is a signed writing sufficient to indicate a contract, and the contract is not enforceable beyond the quantity stated. Between merchants, a confirmation satisfies the section against the recipient unless written objection is given within 10 days after it is received. States may enact a different figure. You open the state text. The section is not a rule for a sale of land.
