- One row per field in 7 U.S.C. § 3501(a): legal name and address; citizenship if an individual; if the person is not an individual or a government, the entity's nature, the country in which it is created or organized, and its principal place of business; the type of interest; the legal description and acreage; the price or other consideration; on a transfer, the transferee's name, address, and citizenship or entity details; and the agricultural use intended on the report date. - 7 U.S.C. § 3501(a) requires a foreign person who acquires or transfers an interest, other than a security interest, in agricultural land to report to the Secretary of Agriculture not later than 90 days after the acquisition or transfer. The text that was read states no acreage threshold and no dollar threshold. The report is not an approval. California Civil Code § 1624(a)(3) still requires a subscribed writing for a sale of real property or a lease longer than one year. You decide whether the person and the land are within the section.
