ASX announcement sign-off checklist (market sensitivity, verification, authorisation and release)
A checklist for each ASX announcement: whether it is market sensitive under Listing Rule 3.1, verification of every statement against source documents, consistency with earlier disclosure, authorisation, and the Listing Rule 15.7 rule that nothing goes to media or anyone else before ASX releases it.

Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may run the verification and consistency checks against the source documents and earlier announcements and fill the checklist; the lawyer, company secretary and authorising officers decide market sensitivity, the final wording and release.
AI may
- Mark each factual statement in the draft and link it to its source document, flagging any without a source
- Compare figures and statements with earlier announcements, the latest financial report and guidance, and list inconsistencies
- Check defined terms, names, dates and units across the announcement and its attachments
AI must not
- Must not decide whether the information is market sensitive or whether an exception under Listing Rule 3.1A applies
- Must not send the announcement, or any part of it, to anyone outside the approved release path before ASX acknowledges release
- Must not process unannounced information in a tool outside the approved, access-controlled environment
The lawyer checks
- Market sensitivity decided and recorded, and the timing meets the "immediately" standard in Listing Rule 3.1
- Every statement verified; forward-looking statements have reasonable grounds and the basis is disclosed
- Authorisation given by the person or body the disclosure policy requires
- Media release, investor presentation and social posts held until ASX acknowledges release (Listing Rule 15.7)
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
