Prepare a chronology of building defects from the association's papers
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Build a dated chronology of notices, inspections and repairs from the documents the lawyer marks, and flag a date the tool cannot read.
- What the lawyer must review
- You check each date against the document. The chronology does not decide who must repair. California Civil Code § 4775 allocates repair and maintenance between the association and the owner unless the declaration provides otherwise. You apply that section, or the other state's statute, only after you have read the declaration. Formal Opinion 512: a generated date is checked before it is used. Model Rule 1.6: do not put the file into a public tool.
