Draft answers to owner questions from the governing documents
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Draft an answer only from the declaration, bylaws or rules the lawyer has marked, and quote the clause. Leave the answer blank if the documents do not deal with the question.
- What the lawyer must review
- You approve every answer before an owner sees it. A blank stays blank. Formal Opinion 512: an answer that goes beyond the marked documents is not the document. If the answer concerns an operating rule, California Civil Code § 4350 is the validity test you apply, not a script for the answer. Model Rule 1.6: do not put owner correspondence into a public tool.
