Record funeral costs against the head that allows them and flag a second claim
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- From the invoices the lawyer selects, list each funeral cost, the payer, the date and the document, and mark a cost a second time if another head or a scheme payment on the file already covers it. Do not say which head succeeds.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide which statute or scheme pays each cost. The same invoice is not recovered twice.
- Use only a cap or a list of items that is on the page you opened, and confirm it is still current.
- A scheme payment is not assumed to reduce the common-law claim. You apply the section that deals with it.
- ASCR r 9 and APP 11 apply. A breach may be notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
