Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- From the claim dates, the certificate and whether the lawyer marks the injury as relevant conduct, list the 7-day provisional path or the 42-day claim-form path the weekly-payments page states. Do not decide that a payment is due, and do not add a treatment week limit.
- What the lawyer must review
- Decide whether the injury is relevant conduct or another psychological injury.
- Provisional weekly payments are for the injuries the page does not call relevant conduct.
- A relevant-conduct claim needs the claim form. Do not invent a treatment time limit.
- Keep medical details in the firm's system. Apply ASCR rule 9, APP 11, and the Privacy Act notifiable-breach test.

The work product
Forum. SIRA weekly-payments page, for a New South Wales psychological injury
Produce. A dated note of the provisional path or the 42-day path. No decision that a payment is due.
Have ready. Notification date and claim-form date; Whether the lawyer marks relevant conduct; Certificate of capacity.
Example of the limit. Illustrative example: The worker notifies bullying on 1 June and the claim form is received on 10 June. The tool counts 42 days from 10 June and does not start a 7-day provisional clock. It does not say the payment is due.
Stop and hand it back when
- The lawyer has not said whether the injury is relevant conduct.
- The tool is asked for an early-treatment week limit.

Checklist
- The page lists relevant event types for a primary psychological injury. It calls bullying, sexual harassment, racial harassment and excessive work demands relevant conduct.
- For injuries other than relevant conduct, the insurer starts provisional weekly payments within 7 calendar days unless it has a reasonable excuse, or it gives that excuse within 7 days, or it determines liability. After a claim form, it has 21 days to accept or dispute.
- For relevant conduct, compensation is not paid until a completed claim form is received. The insurer has 42 days from receipt to decide. If it does not decide, the claim is deemed accepted.
- If a certificate of capacity is not provided, the insurer may stop weekly payments within 7 days of advising that the certificate is required. No separate early-treatment week limit was on the page.

The claim form was not opened. The page says to give as much detail as possible in section 3A. It does not set out the boxes. The relevant-event list on the page also includes violence, serious criminal conduct, witnessing a traumatic incident, a death in the worker's care, and vicarious trauma. Those are not in the sentence that defines relevant conduct.
