How AI is used
Copy the charges, the statutory provisions cited, and the time and place of the hearing into a table, each with the page of the notice. Write no pleading, motion or brief.
What the lawyer must review
8 U.S.C. § 1229 requires written notice, called a notice to appear, in removal proceedings under § 1229a. The notice must include the charges and the statutory provisions alleged to have been violated, and the time and place of the proceedings. So that the person can obtain counsel, the hearing is not to be scheduled earlier than 10 days after service unless the person requests an earlier date. You calculate any deadline from the notice in the file, and you write the response. EOIR PM 25-40 and 8 C.F.R. § 1003.102(c) apply to what is filed. Check that judge's standing order on generative AI. There is no mandatory EOIR-wide disclosure rule.
