How AI is used
Set out the value, the paragraph, and the facts the lawyer has marked as the reasons an invitation limited to Australian businesses or to small and medium enterprises is not appropriate. Do not write the record.
What the lawyer must review
The lawyer writes and files the record. Paragraphs 5.4 and 5.5 say an official may determine that approaching only Australian businesses, or only small and medium enterprises, is not appropriate, and that the basis must be documented. Finance also says AusTender asks entities to report why a contract was not awarded to an Australian or New Zealand business, including where the approach was released before 17 November 2025 and the contract is signed after that date. The lawyer chooses the reason code that matches the decision.

Checklist

  1. State the facts that make the limited invitation not appropriate. Do not use a conclusion with no facts.
  2. Match the AusTender reason to the decision, including the code for an approach released before 17 November 2025 where that is the case.
  3. The lawyer writes the record. Do not file text the tool has composed as the official reason.
