Quote the fee and exit clauses in a senior housing contract
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Quote the clauses the contract uses for fees, services, and leaving, with the clause numbers the contract prints. Do not say the contract meets a village statute.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide what to tell the resident. No retirement-village or senior-housing statute was opened, so a quote is not a compliance finding. Model Rule 1.4(b) requires an explanation that lets the client decide. Formal Opinion 512 requires independent verification of tool output before you rely on it, because a tool can produce text that has no basis in the document. A clause that is not in the contract is not supplied. 42 CFR § 489.102 is an advance-directive rule for listed providers. It is not a statute about this contract.
