- Quote the clause that names a substitute and the event that lets the substitute act. If there is no substitute clause, say so. Do not say the substitute is now acting.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide whether the event has happened. No statute on substitute attorneys was opened. The event is the event written in the clause. A fact that the event occurred must be in the file. The tool does not infer it. Model Rule 1.4(b) is the explanation to the principal or to the substitute. Formal Opinion 512 applies to the quote. You do not prepare an acceptance for the substitute.
