Model Rule 1.6(a) forbids revealing information relating to the representation unless the client gives informed consent, the disclosure is impliedly authorized to carry out the representation, or paragraph (b) permits it. Formal Opinion 512 requires informed consent before information relating to the representation goes into a self-learning tool whose output could disclose it. 42 CFR § 489.102 concerns advance directives at listed providers. It does not supply occupation terms. A power of attorney in the file, if any, is not the occupation agreement.
