- You decide formal validity. No state execution statute was opened, so a filled block is not a finding that the power meets the statute, and a blank block is not a finding that it fails. Model Rule 1.4(b) requires you to explain that the check is only about what is on the paper. Formal Opinion 512 requires you to verify the observation against the copy. You do not describe how many witnesses a statute requires. That number was not opened.
