Extract dates and amounts from a power-of-attorney file
Key facts
- Human involvement
- RedLawyer-led
- How AI is used
- From the statements the lawyer marks, list the date, the payee, and the amount. Do not describe a motive and do not write a narrative.
- What the lawyer must review
- You write any narrative that will be filed or sent. The extract is a list of dates and amounts only. The Uniform Law Commission page is a model. It does not define misuse, and no state power-of-attorney statute was opened. Model Rule 1.6 covers the financial records. Formal Opinion 512 applies before those records go into a tool. You decide whether a transaction was authorized by the instrument.

Who does what
| Role | What they do |
|---|---|
| Assistance | Supporting preparation only. Consider narrowly defined preparation support after confirming the tool’s capability and permitted scope. The tool writes nothing into the document. Substantive advice, judgement and any restricted content remain with the responsible human. |
| Lawyer | Perform the substantive analysis and decisions. Independently check any permitted supporting work and approve the exact output for its intended use. |
