List the people the instrument says must be told of a revocation
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- List each person the revocation clause says must be notified, using the instrument's words. If it names no one, say so. Do not add a bank, a doctor, or a court.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide who must actually be told. No revocation-notice statute was opened. The list is the list in the instrument, not a statutory list. Model Rule 1.4(a)(3) requires you to keep the client reasonably informed about the status of the revocation. Model Rule 1.6 applies to telling a third person about the revocation. You do not send the notices from this list. Formal Opinion 512 applies if the instrument is put into a tool to build the list.
