List the exit dates and figures the housing contract states
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- In date order, list each date and dollar figure the contract states for leaving, including a departure fee only where the contract itself states the figure. Do not apply a formula that is not written in the contract.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide what the resident is owed. No statute setting an exit entitlement or a departure-fee formula was opened. If the contract states a formula, you apply it. The tool does not. Model Rule 1.4(a)(3) requires you to keep the client reasonably informed about the status. Formal Opinion 512 bars uncritical reliance on a generated figure. A date that is not in the contract or in a notice in the file is not invented.
