Build the execution steps for a power of attorney or advance directive before signing
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Once you name the state and the instrument, list only the execution, witness and notarisation steps that appear in the statute or official form you paste in. Leave a blank where the text does not state a step.
- What the lawyer must review
- Execution formalities are state law and they differ for a financial power and a health-care directive. The Uniform Law Commission act is not those formalities. You check every step against the current state statute before the client signs. A missing witness or a wrong officer can make the document fail when it is needed. Do not copy an Australian witnessing rule.
