Compare a signed power with the client's current instructions
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Set each power in the signed instrument beside the instruction the client has now given the lawyer. Mark a power the current instructions do not mention, and an instruction the instrument does not contain. Do not say the power is invalid.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide whether the instrument still does what the client wants, and you write any new instrument. The Uniform Law Commission page is a model, not an enactment. No state revocation or review statute was opened. Model Rule 1.4(b) requires an explanation sufficient for the client to decide whether to change the power. Formal Opinion 512 applies to the comparison. A mismatch is a conversation, not a form of relief.
