How AI is used
From the complaint and the provider's records, index the allegations, the dates, the people named, and the policies and adjustment records that relate to each allegation. Note the date the complaint was received from the Commission. Do not write the response, an apology, or any proposed resolution.
What the lawyer must review
The lawyer writes the response. The Disability Discrimination Act covers education, including enrolling or studying at a private or public school, college or university. The Commission gives the respondent a copy of the complaint and may ask for a detailed response. It investigates and may conciliate. It cannot decide that discrimination happened. If the complaint is finalised without resolution, an application to the Federal Court or the Federal Circuit Court may be made within 60 days, and in some cases only with the court's permission. The lawyer decides what is admitted, what records are provided, and whether to conciliate.
