How AI is used
From the brochure, webpage or other material, list whether the provider's registered name and registration number appear, and whether the text promises a migration outcome, a successful education assessment, or a particular work-based training or entry requirement. Do not rewrite the material.
What the lawyer must review
The lawyer decides whether the material can be used. The Department of Education Standard 1 factsheet, last updated 14 July 2022, states that marketing of courses and education services must not be false or misleading and must be consistent with the Australian Consumer Law. The provider's name and registration number on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students must appear in written and online material used to provide or offer a course, to invite a student to apply, or to indicate that the provider is able or willing to provide a course. The provider must not promise a migration outcome or guarantee a successful education assessment. When seeking a written agreement it must not give false or misleading information about work-based training required in the course, about prerequisites including English language, or about other information relevant to the provider, its courses and the outcomes of those courses. The factsheet says compliance is measured against the National Code, not the factsheet. This task is the marketing check. It is not the written agreement with the student, and it is not the check of an education agent's agreement.
