- What the lawyer must review
- The lawyer decides whether the evidence meets the standards for that regulator, what is missing, and writes the application. In Western Australia a non-government school is registered for between one and five years, and the renewal application must be made at least 6 months and no more than 12 months before expiry. If it is in time, registration continues until the decision. In New South Wales a non-government school must be registered to operate, and the individual-school manual or the systems manual sets the requirements. In Victoria a new independent school must meet the minimum standards. The VRQA says to allow 12 to 18 months and to lodge by 30 June of the year before the school is to open. That Victorian page is about a new school, not a renewal.
