How AI is used
List each charge in the charging paper and the objective the lawyer has written beside it. Do not write the submission and do not write what the defendant will say.
What the lawyer must review
You write the submission. Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 11(b) requires the court, before accepting a guilty or nolo contendere plea, to address the defendant personally in open court, to advise the defendant of the rights being waived and of the maximum penalty, including imprisonment, fine, and supervised release, and to determine that the plea is voluntary and did not result from force, threats, or promises apart from a plea agreement. Your submission has to be consistent with that colloquy. Section 3553(a) does not state a plea percentage. The Guidelines Manual was not opened. Model Rule 3.3 applies to what you hand up.
