List leasing figures that are printed in a source document
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- One row per figure the lawyer has put in the file. Columns are the figure, the unit, the date printed, and the document name. Do not state a rent or a vacancy rate that is not printed in that document.
- What the lawyer must review
- Formal Opinion 512 requires review of tool output before anyone relies on it, and confidentiality for information relating to the representation. Model Rule 1.6 is that duty. A rent figure used in a lease still sits inside California Civil Code § 1624(a)(3) if the lease is longer than one year. You decide whether a figure may be repeated to a client. No market-data statute was opened.
