How AI is used
From the operation the lawyer describes, list which published trigger applies, the height and distance figures, whether the operator holds a ReOC and the pilot a RePL, the operations manual and KML the lawyer has selected, and the NOTAM timing if an instrument will require one. The tool does not complete or send form 101-09.
What the lawyer must review
The lawyer decides whether an authorisation is required, completes form 101-09, attaches the documents, and sends it. Only the chief remote pilot of a ReOC holder can apply.

Checklist

  1. Match each claimed trigger to the list on the CASA flight approvals page, including height above 120 metres and the 5.5 kilometre aerodrome cases.
  2. Confirm the applicant is the chief remote pilot of a ReOC holder, and that a RePL is held, before the form is sent.
  3. If a NOTAM is required, check the request is lodged at least 48 hours before the operation in Airservices business hours, and that the fee estimate is still inside its 30 days.
