Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- List each issue the Office action raises, and whether the file shows a response, a request to extend the time to respond, or an amendment. Do not choose a path and do not draft a response.
- What the lawyer must review
- The paths section 2.62 states are a response and a request to extend the time to respond. The response is due by the deadline the Office action sets. For an action under paragraph (a)(1)(i), paragraph (a)(2) allows an extension on a timely request and payment of the fee in section 2.6(a)(28), which was not opened. The rule does not describe a deferment, a hearing, or a divisional application, and it states no monthly fee. You choose the path and you write any response. Section 1052 is about what shall be refused registration. It does not add a response path.
