Check how a members' meeting notice is given
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- From the register and the sending method the lawyer supplies, record that written notice must be given individually to each member entitled to vote and to each director, and that notice need only be given to one member of a joint membership. Record the methods in subsection (3): personally, by post to the register address or an alternative address nominated by the member, in the manner in paragraph 110D(1)(b), (c) or (d), or by any other means the constitution permits. If the lawyer asks when a posted or electronic notice is taken to be given, record the periods in subsection (4) and that the heading marks that subsection, and subsection (2), as replaceable rules. Do not treat three days or the next business day as immovable. Paragraphs of section 110D were not opened, so do not describe those manners.
- What the lawyer must review
- The lawyer decides who is entitled to vote, whether the constitution permits another means or displaces a replaceable rule, and whether the notice was given by a permitted method.
